Now as the chief executive and winemaker, he is confident they and others in the King Valley can still survive.

Dal Zotto Wines was one of the beneficiaries of Wednesday's announcement by the Victorian government - the business will receive money to help to establish accommodation at the winery, as part of $4.3 million towards the "Prosecco Road" district in the King Valley.
The business has been booked out since the Melbourne border opened and hopes to see that continue.
The government's tourism package also included money for the Murray River Adventure Trail - which will have walking, cycling, kayaking and canoeing attractions from Lake Hume up to Mildura - and $15 million for stage one works on the Falls Creek to Mount Hotham alpine crossing hiking trail.
Regional Development Minister Jaclyn Symes said the works at the snowfields were "going to create one of the most iconic walks in the world".
She said she believed regional Victoria could lead the state's economic recovery from coronavirus through tourism.
Premier Daniel Andrews said the projects announced in Wednesday's package would be started during the next 12 months.
